The Society has some good news.  We have just received a donation from Daisy Smith nee Jones who grew up at Golden Glen on the Wattle Glen-Kangaroo Ground Road.  Albert Jones the renowned local photographer was a relative of Daisy's.  Albert's photographs form the Sparkes collection.
We are very happy to accept the wonderful items donated.

• A christening gown that was used when Daisy's husband Frank Smith was christened
• A wedding dress worn by Frank Smith's mother Ann Smith nee Jones
• A trophy from the Diamond Creek Horticultural Society Show at its the third annual show on 10th March 1887.  The award is the First Championship Cup and was for 24 varieties of apples and six varieties of peaches.  It was won by Mr. Edward Jones who was Daisy's father.
